Polish foreign minister reveals his personal emergency survival kit

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski has revealed how he personally prepares for potential emergencies, including the possibility of war with Russia.

Sikorski was asked whether he had prepared an evacuation backpack in case of a security threat.

The minister said he had stocked up on rice, kept a hand pump at home and made jam from fruit grown in his own garden.

Sikorski also said he had reviewed safety guidelines and determined the location of the nearest shelter to his home.

He stressed that everyone should know how to apply a bandage, noting that basic emergency skills could prove useful even in peacetime.

The Polish government has previously encouraged citizens to prepare emergency kits containing essential supplies in case of natural disasters or military emergencies.
