US President Trump says Russia should “settle the war”

US President Donald Trump has called on Russia to find a way to end the conflict with Ukraine

“Settle the war,” he said in response to a question about what message he could convey to Russian officials regarding the ongoing conflict, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.

Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy have agreed to meet in New York on September 22.

According to the Ukrainian side, topics for discussion include further diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict, energy, supplies of air defence systems, and the possible production of Patriot missile system missiles in Ukraine under a US licence.
