Kremlin sends protest note to Armenia over desecration of war memorial

Moscow has sent a note of protest to Yerevan over the desecration of a memorial to Heroes of the Great Patriotic War in Gyumri.

This was stated at a briefing by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

“This sacrilegious act is not just hooliganism, but a deliberate attack on the shared historical memory of our countries and an attempt to insult the Great Victory. Of course, we have sent a note of protest to the Armenian side,” the diplomat said.
