Kremlin spox: Washington plays destructive role in Europe
Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has said that Washington has a negative impact on Europe, acting as a source of tension and pushing European countries to increase military spending.
The US “plays a destructive role on the European continent in terms of security,” the Kremlin spokesman noted, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
“It is the United States of America that is, in fact, the chanter in the process of provoking tensions,” Peskov added.
The Russian presidential spokesman recalled that the United States “is putting pressure on European countries to force Europeans to spend more money, a larger share of their GDP for military purposes.” At the same time, Washington “receives economic dividends from this whole situation,” Peskov added.
