Kuwait aviation authority confirms drone strike on main airport
Several drones attacked Kuwait International Airport on Thursday morning, March 12, according to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Kuwait.
As reported by Arab Times, the incident caused only material damage, and no injuries were reported.
Abdullah Al‑Rajhi, spokesperson for the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that authorities managed the situation under an emergency response plan that has been in place since the beginning of the current crisis.
According to Al-Rajhi, the response was carried out in full coordination with relevant national authorities.
He also reaffirmed the directorate’s commitment to maintaining the safety of civil aviation in Kuwait and expressed hope for the protection of the state, its emir, its people and its government.
