Kuwait condemns Iran's "heinous" attack on US Embassy
On March 3, 2026, Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry strongly protested and condemned what it described as a heinous Iranian attack on the building of the US Embassy in Kuwait.
The statement, posted on social network X, emphasised that “this attack constitutes a blatant violation of international norms and laws,” Caliber.Az reports.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the State of Kuwait’s firm rejection and strongest condemnation of the heinous Iranian attack targeting the building of the United States Embassy in the State of Kuwait, describing it as an act that constitutes a blatant violation of all international norms and laws, including the 1949 Geneva Conventions and the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which grant immunity to diplomatic premises and their staff even in situations of armed conflict," the post reads.
The ministry also stressed that Kuwait reserves the right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its security, territorial integrity, as well as the safety of its citizens and residents.
