Kuwait intercepts 24 drones in 48 hours amid ongoing escalation
Kuwait’s armed forces have detected the launch of 24 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) toward the country over the past 48 hours, Colonel Saud al-Atwan, Kuwaiti Ministry of Defence spokesperson, has stated.
He said, in a post on X, that Kuwait took actions in accordance with established procedures, Caliber.Az reports.

صرّح المتحدث الرسمي لوزارة الدفاع، العقيد الركن سعود عبدالعزيز العطوان،
بأن القوات المسلحة رصدت وتعاملت خلال الـ(48) ساعة الماضية مع عدد (24) طائرة مسيّرة معادية داخل المجال الجوي الكويتي، وتم التعامل معها وفق الإجراءات المتبعة.

According to him, the Iranian attacks caused limited material damage, with no casualties reported.
He stressed that the armed forces continue to effectively carry out their duties to ensure national security and protect the population.
Since the beginning of the escalation in the Gulf region, Kuwaiti forces have detected and responded to a total of 893 drones, 379 ballistic missiles, and 15 cruise missiles launched from Iranian territory.
