Kuwait, Saudi Arabia condemn Iran, call for immediate ceasefire
Kuwait’s Emir Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman held a telephone conversation to address rising tensions in the Gulf region.
During the call, both leaders expressed deep concern over the recent escalation and stressed the urgent need for an immediate halt to hostilities. They underscored the importance of returning to dialogue and pursuing diplomatic solutions to prevent further instability, Caliber.Az reports, citing QNA.
The two sides strongly condemned recent Iranian strikes targeting territories in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, describing them as violations of national sovereignty, international law, and the principles of the United Nations Charter.
They reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding regional security and stability, pledging to use all available means to counter threats and protect their nations.
