Kuwait says oil facility hit in attack attributed to Iran

Kuwait said one of its key oil sector facilities had been targeted in an attack attributed to Iran, resulting in injuries and significant material damage.

In a statement carried by the state news agency KUNA, the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation said the facility came under repeated strikes earlier in the day.

“This morning, one of the key facilities of the oil sector was subjected to repeated violent attacks by Iran, resulting in a number of injuries and significant material damage. First aid was provided to the injured, the facility was evacuated, and response measures are being taken in coordination with the relevant state authorities,” the company said.
