Kyiv emergency staff die from extreme overwork, lawmaker says

Ukrainian lawmaker Oleksiy Kucherenko has highlighted a critical situation affecting emergency repair crews in Kyiv, warning that staff are operating under dangerously intense conditions.

Kucherenko made a post on his Facebook account, noting employees are sometimes working continuously for two to three days without rest.

“There aren’t enough crews, and people are practically collapsing from exhaustion. Yesterday, two repairmen simply died from extreme overwork. Many are suffering from frostbite and severe physical and mental fatigue. Just keep this in mind,” Kucherenko wrote.
