Kyiv residents more pessimistic about Ukraine’s future, survey chief says
Residents of Kyiv have the most difficult emotional state among Ukrainians, according to Oleksiy Antypovych, director of the Rating sociological group.
He said Kyiv residents were not experiencing panic or a catastrophic mood, but their assessment of both Ukraine’s future and the current situation in the capital was noticeably worse than in other parts of the country, including Kharkiv, Dnipro and Odesa, Caliber.Az reports via Ukrainian media.
“Kyiv is perhaps currently the most anxious region regarding the situation in the country,” Antypovych said.
He added that Ukrainians’ overall mood was becoming more apathetic, with people distancing themselves from events and trying to “hide away in a burrow”.
Antypovych also said that the increase in shelling had led more people to consider leaving Ukraine.
