Kyiv, Warsaw coordinate efforts to counter sabotage, Russian spies

Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko met with Poland’s Minister-Coordinator of Special Services Tomasz Siemoniak, to elaborate on ways to tackle sabotage and espionage in favour of Russia.

“We discussed what matters most: protecting energy and transport infrastructure, countering sabotage and Russian intelligence networks, as well as information attacks and the enemy’s discrediting campaign aimed at disrupting mobilisation," Klymenko wrote on his Telegram channel, per Caliber.Az.

"Russia is waging war not only with missiles. The enemy recruits people through social media, inciting them to commit arson and terrorist acts. Last week, the National Police foiled preparations for a series of high-profile murders. Yesterday’s terrorist attack against law enforcement officers in Lviv is further evidence of the enemy’s deliberate attempts to destabilise Ukraine,” Klymenko stated.

The ministers also discussed exchanging experiences. “Ukraine has practical experience in countering drone attacks, while Poland has strong capabilities in interagency coordination. Together, we are strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure and preparing joint solutions for the future,” he added.
