Kyiv woman held after soldier’s car targeted in explosion PHOTO / VIDEO
Kyiv police have arrested a 24-year-old woman accused of detonating an explosive device on a National Guard service member’s car.
The woman had been seeking additional work through social media when, in autumn 2025, she was approached by a representative of Russian intelligence services, Caliber.Az reports per Ukrainian media.
She was promised $1,500 for carrying out the task, a payment she reportedly never received.
The device was reportedly assembled by the suspect herself under the guidance of a handler, and she allegedly installed a hidden camera to stream the explosion to the orchestrator.
Authorities have classified the incident as a terrorist act. The woman is suspected of setting fire to the service member’s vehicle in December 2025 and faces up to ten years in prison if convicted.
