Kyrgyz, Belarusian foreign ministers discuss upcoming SCO summit, visiting schedule
The Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Belarus, Zheenbek Kulubaev and Maxim Ryzhenkov, respectively, held a phone conversation on January 6 to discuss key matters on their countries’ bilateral agenda and preparations for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit.
The ministers focused primarily on the schedule for high-level contacts between their nations, including plans for upcoming visits facilitated through the ministries of foreign affairs. A key topic of discussion was the upcoming Council of Heads of State of the SCO meeting, which will take place in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, later this year, Caliber.Az reports via Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry.
Both sides reviewed the substantive issues likely to dominate the agenda of the summit and exchanged views on enhancing cooperation within the framework of the SCO.
In closing, Kulubaev and Ryzhenkov exchanged New Year’s greetings.
