Kyrgyz president dismisses minister over ethical violations PHOTO
President Sadyr Japarov of the Kyrgyz Republic has signed a decree relieving Bakhtiyar Orozov of his post as Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovation.
The decision was made in accordance with Article 70, Part 1, Clause 4, and Article 71 of the Kyrgyz Constitution, as well as the provisions of the Law on Civil and Municipal Service and the presidential decree on political and special state offices issued on June 4 (No. 175), Caliber.Az reports via Kyrgyz media.

The presidential decree cited Orozov’s failure to comply with ethical standards as the reason for his dismissal. No further details have been released.
Orozov was appointed Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovation in May 2025.
Prior to this role, he served as First Deputy Minister of Education and Science and as Deputy Minister of Justice.
