Kyrgyz president to attend C5+1 summit in Washington
Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov will travel to Washington, D.C., to participate in the upcoming C5+1 summit, a high-level meeting between the heads of state of Central Asia and the United States, scheduled for November 6.
According to presidential spokesperson Askat Alagozov, President Japarov accepted an official invitation from US President Donald Trump to attend the gathering, Caliber.Az reports per Ktrgyz media.
“The invitation has been received and accepted with gratitude. The presidential administration is making the necessary preparations for the head of state’s working visit to the United States,” Alagozov said.
The C5+1 platform will bring together Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and the United States to discuss regional security, economic cooperation, and broader international policy issues.
