Kyrgyz president to make historic first official visit to Egypt Details
Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov will make the first official visit in the history of Kyrgyz-Egyptian relations to the Arab Republic of Egypt on November 4–5, at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
Sagynbek Abdumutalip, head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Kyrgyz presidential administration, noted that this will also be the first official visit by a Kyrgyz head of state to the African continent since the country’s independence, Caliber.Az reports, citing Kyrgyz media.
According to the presidential press service, the visit will include high-level talks between Japarov and el-Sisi, covering the full spectrum of bilateral relations as well as international and regional issues.
Several bilateral agreements are expected to be signed during the visit, covering economy, agriculture, investment, energy, and healthcare, laying the groundwork for the further development of Kyrgyz-Egyptian relations.
