Kyrgyzstan detains foreigner wanted under international arrest warrant PHOTO

Law enforcement officers in Osh, Kyrgyzstan, have detained a foreign national who was wanted under an international arrest warrant, the city’s Internal Affairs Directorate said.

The man, identified as A.A., a citizen of a neighbouring country born in 1999, was detained during operational search activities carried out by officers from the department responsible for combating extremism and illegal migration, Caliber.Az reports per Kyrgyz media.

He is currently being held at a temporary detention centre at Osh City Police Headquarters.

Further legal proceedings will be carried out in accordance with the law, authorities said.
