Kyrgyzstan detains man over alleged calls to seize power by force PHOTO

Kyrgyzstan’s State Committee for National Security (SCNS) has detained a man suspected of publicly calling for the violent seizure of state power.

According to the SCNS press service, the suspect repeatedly posted content on Threads calling for the use of force to seize power. Investigators also accused him of publishing material that could contribute to public disorder and destabilise the country’s socio-political situation, Caliber.Az reports via Kyrgyz media.

Authorities have opened a criminal case against the detainee, who is being held at an SCNS pretrial detention facility.

The identity of the suspect and further details of the case have not been disclosed.
