Kyrgyzstan to impose temporary restrictions on border crossings with China
Temporary restrictions will be introduced at border checkpoints along the Kyrgyz-Chinese border, the State Border Service has announced.
The measures are linked to the celebration of International Workers' Day in China, Caliber.Az reports via Kyrgyz media.
From April 30:
-
The “Irkeshtam” road checkpoint will suspend the passage of individuals, vehicles, and cargo from 22:00.
-
The “Torugart” road checkpoint will close from 20:00 (Bishkek time).
Operations at both checkpoints are scheduled to resume on May 2 at 08:00.
Separately, it is noted that the “Bedel” road checkpoint will be closed from May 1 to May 5 and will reopen on May 6 at 08:00.
During this period, border authorities will not allow the passage of people, vehicles, or goods through these sections of the border.
