Kyrgyzstan’s population tops 7.3 million
Kyrgyzstan’s population has surpassed 7.3 million, official figures show. Between January and October 2025, the number of residents in the country rose by 103,400, marking an increase of 1.4% compared with the start of the year. By November 1, the population had reached 7,385,000.
According to data from the State Agency “Kyzmat”, 117,300 births were registered in the first ten months of the year, equivalent to 19.2 births per 1,000 people, slightly down from 20.1 per 1,000 in the same period in 2024, Caliber.Az reports.
Meanwhile, 27,000 deaths were recorded, or 4.4 per 1,000 population, compared with 4.5 per 1,000 a year earlier.
This resulted in a natural population increase of 90,300, or 14.8 per 1,000, marginally below last year’s 15.6 per 1,000.
The highest rates of natural population growth were reported in the Batken, Osh and Jalal-Abad regions, while the capital, Bishkek, recorded the lowest.
