The second and final solar eclipse of 2026 will take place on August 12, according to the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory.

The total eclipse will be visible along a narrow path crossing Iceland, Spain, north-western Portugal, Greenland and the northern Atlantic Ocean, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

A partial solar eclipse will be observable across most of Europe, parts of North America, areas of the Pacific Ocean and north-western Africa.

The eclipse will begin at 19:34 Baku time and end at 23:57, with the maximum phase expected at 21:46. The entire event is forecast to last around five hours, while the period of totality will last approximately seven minutes.
