Latvia presses NATO to accelerate military tech upgrade
Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže has said that NATO countries must accelerate the adoption of new military technologies that have emerged during the Russia–Ukraine war in order to prepare for potential threats from Russia.
Braže made the remarks ahead of a NATO foreign ministers’ meeting in Helsingborg, Sweden, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukraainian media.
She stressed that technological solutions developed and tested during the war in Ukraine should be more rapidly integrated into the defence capabilities of Alliance members.
“We need to build up modern technologies, unmanned systems — everything we see on the front line in Ukraine — within our defence capabilities. Russia is also learning — not only Ukraine. We no longer have time for delay,” Braže said.
