Latvia to deliver new batch of reconnaissance vehicles to Ukraine
Latvian authorities will send Ukraine a new shipment of CVR(T) combat reconnaissance vehicles, the LSM news portal reports, citing Latvian Defence Minister Andris Sprūds.
The transfer of the vehicles has already begun. Sprūds emphasised that the deliveries will not affect the operational capabilities or needs of Latvia’s national armed forces.
In November 2025, Latvia delivered 12 CVR(T) vehicles to Ukraine as part of a previously announced military aid package.
According to LSM, since 2022, the total volume of aid provided by Riga to Kyiv has exceeded €1 billion.
Since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, Latvia’s total support (government, local authorities, and private sector) has exceeded €1 billion (some sources put it at €1.08 billion as of early 2026). Direct military aid accounts for more than €665 million of that.
