Le Monde: France hesitating to deliver Leclerc tanks to Ukraine

France is experiencing problems with the supply of Leclerc tanks to Ukraine.

Le Monde shared the information with reference to a source in military circles. 

According to the newspaper, Leclerc tanks are very durable but require significant logistical support, including the provision of fuel and ammunition, as well as maintenance.

At the same time, the issue of the number of tanks remains unresolved. The French army currently has 226 Leclerc tanks. Of these, 60 per cent of the machines are in operation.

Weapons expert Leo Parriah-Pennier from the French Institute of International Relations believes that if about 100 tanks are transferred to Kyiv, it could seriously weaken France's defense capability.
