Lebanese army brigadier general killed in Israeli drone strike

A Lebanese Army brigadier general and several soldiers were killed in an Israeli drone strike targeting a military vehicle in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanese media.

The attack occurred on the Hardali–Jermak highway in the Nabatieh Governorate, a region near the Israeli border that has witnessed frequent military activity in recent months.

Earlier, the Lebanese Armed Forces confirmed that an officer and several soldiers had been killed in a missile strike on a military vehicle but did not initially disclose the officer's rank.

In a statement, the Lebanese Army command condemned what it described as "the raid that led to the deaths of the soldiers" and denounced the continued attacks against Lebanon and its people.
