Lebanese foreign minister discusses border village situation with Vatican
Lebanon’s Foreign Minister, Youssef Raggi, held a phone call with Vatican Foreign Minister Paul Gallagher to discuss recent developments in Lebanon and the difficult conditions facing border villages in the country’s south.
In a post on X, Raggi said Lebanon had requested the Holy See’s mediation to preserve the Christian presence in these villages, which have historically relied on the state and its official military structures.
