Lebanese MP tells Hezbollah to carry out “suicidal” missions without Lebanon “COMMIT SUICIDE ALONE”
Lebanese MP and Kataeb Party leader Samy Gemayel responded to a new pledge by Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem to remain loyal to Iran and his call for Israel’s destruction, urging the Iran-backed armed movement to carry out any “suicidal” mission on its own.
“If you want to defend your master, go to him. If you want to kill yourself, do it alone, but do not drag Lebanon into it,” he said in a post on X.

In a January 26, 2026, address, Hezbollah’s Secretary‑General Naim Qassem said his group will not remain neutral if Iran is attacked, framing US threats against Iran’s leadership as directed at Hezbollah as well, and warning that conflict could engulf the region.
Qassem has publicly affirmed solidarity with Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the Iranian people, calling Iran’s resilience under Khamenei a guiding force against US and Israeli pressure and emphasising ideological loyalty during a large rally in Beirut.
