Lebanese PM urges national unity to confront growing threats

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has called on people to unite to overcome the dangers facing the country.

In a post on X commemorating Orthodox Easter, Salam has called on people to “elevate the language of reason”.

فصح مجيد للمسيحيين الذين يتبعون التقويم الشرقي. وكلني أمل ان يُلهم هذا العيد جميع اللبنانيين التمسك بوحدتنا والابتعاد عن الفتن واعلاء لغة العقل والمصلحة الوطنية لنتجاوز معاً المخاطر التي تواجهنا، وكي يعمّ الاستقرار والسلام والازدهار كل لبنان.

“I hope that this feast inspires all Lebanese to hold fast to our unity, to steer clear of strife, and to elevate the language of reason and the national interest so that we may together overcome the dangers facing us, and so that stability, peace, and prosperity may prevail throughout Lebanon,” he wrote.
