Lebanese president issues stern warning over national security threats  “Hand that disrupts peace will be cut off”

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has issued a stern warning against actions that threaten national stability, emphasising that authorities will respond firmly, Lebanon’s National News Agency reports.

“The hand that reaches out to disrupt civil peace will be cut off,” Aoun said, stressing that security forces are taking firm action, including arrests and weapons seizures.

“No one in Lebanon desires a civil war, and anyone seeking to exploit the situation will not succeed,” he added.

Aoun also drew attention to the deteriorating conditions in the south, calling it “tragic due to the grave violations committed by Israel,” while noting ongoing international efforts aimed at fostering negotiations.
