Lebanese president warns ceasefire negotiations are final opportunity
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has stated that the results of the fourth round of ceasefire negotiations contain extremely important points that could represent a “last chance” to achieve a comprehensive truce.
In a post on X, he said each side will bear responsibility in the event of a lack of a constructive response, Caliber.Az reports.

According to him, once responses are received from relevant domestic forces, in particular Hezbollah, the American side will be informed of Lebanon’s position so that further steps can be based on it.
“The United States will determine the timing and mechanism for implementing the ceasefire agreement, which could enter into force 24 hours after the US is notified of the parties’ consent and the provision of necessary guarantees. The direct guarantor of the agreement’s implementation will be US President Donald Trump,” the Lebanese leader added.
