Lebanon expels Iranian ambassador amid diplomatic row

Lebanon has declared Iran’s appointed ambassador, Mohammad Reza Sheibani, persona non grata and ordered him to leave the country by March 29, local broadcaster LBCI reported.

The decision was communicated to Iran’s chargé d’affaires in Beirut. In response, Lebanon has also recalled its own ambassador from Tehran for consultations, citing what it described as Tehran’s breach of diplomatic norms.
