Left-wing party leader calls for French leader’s resignation

Leader of the parliamentary France Unbowed left-wing party Mathilde Panot has called for the resignation of President Emmanuel Macron.

Panot linked her demand for Macron's resignation to the appointment of new French Prime Minister François Bayrou, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

She announced plans to introduce a vote of no confidence against the prime minister. 

"Macron must go," Panot stated. 

Leader of the French Patriots party Florian Philippot issued a similar demand. He stated that Bayrou is an ultra-atlantist and a supporter of NATO, who advocated for mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations, who supports mail-in voting, and who has been a part of the French political system for nearly 45 years.
