Leopard mom and her cubs stun cameras in Zangezur National Park PHOTO / VIDEO
A female leopard with two cubs has been spotted in Zangezur National Park.
The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Azerbaijan posted the footage on its official social media, reporting that the leopard, called Gamza by the team, is raising two healthy cubs, which do not have names yet, as per Caliber.Az
WWF noted that followers frequently ask why the organisation hasn’t produced a documentary despite the vast amount of footage collected.
The organisation clarified that its current efforts are focused on population monitoring, tracking changes, analysing habitats, and making decisions based on data.
Over 120 cameras are currently active in the area, capturing hundreds of thousands of photos and videos over the years.
WWF also stated that it is ready to assist graduate students and researchers interested in conducting studies in this field.
