Lithuania bans over 300 Russians to cross border for two weeks
03 October 2022 13:08
Head of the State Border Guard Service under the Lithuanian Interior Ministry Rustamas Liubajevas has said that Lithuania did not allow more than 300 Russian citizens with valid Schengen visas to cross the border.
“Some 305 people, having no status to enter Lithuania, taking into account the imposed restrictions, have been banned to arrive in Lithuania since September 19, 2022,” TASS quotes Liubajevas as saying.
In general, about 19,500 Russians have crossed the border since September 19. They were mainly transit passengers who intended to visit the Kaliningrad region.
