Lithuania plans to acquire Embraer C-390 military aircraft from Brazil

Lithuania is preparing to purchase Embraer C-390 Millennium military transport aircraft from Brazil, Deputy Defence Minister Loreta Maskaliovienė announced.

The move aims to replace the country’s three ageing Spartan aircraft, which Maskaliovienė said no longer meet essential safety standards. She noted that investing in new aircraft would be more cost-effective than attempting to repair the outdated fleet, Caliber.Az reports via Delfi. 

The Embraer C-390 Millennium is a medium transport aircraft known for its operational versatility. It can be deployed for cargo transport, air-to-air refuelling, search and rescue missions, and medical evacuation.
