Lithuania’s “Radarom!” campaign secures over €4 million to equip Ukraine with drones Photo

22 July 2025 16:20

The national “Radarom!” campaign, launched in Lithuania this February to support Ukraine, continues to be successfully implemented.

Donations have now exceeded €4.4 million, enabling the delivery of thousands of drones to Ukrainian defenders, Caliber.Az reports, citing Lithuanian media.

According to the latest figures, a total of 2,609 drones have been purchased, with an advance payment made for a further 320 Lithuanian-made drones.

Spending on Lithuanian drone production has reached €2,629,805, while €1,781,960 has been allocated to equipment from Ukrainian manufacturers. These funds cover procurement, licensing coordination, and logistics.

Thanks to the support of Lithuanian people and businesses, significant contributions are being made to Ukraine’s defence efforts.

“From the very first day of the campaign, we have kept a close eye on the process and remain accountable to the public regarding how their donations are spent.

Trust is our greatest asset, so we are committed to acting responsibly and transparently,” said Monika Garbačiauskaitė-Budrienė, Director General of LRT.

As originally planned, two-thirds of the support is dedicated to Lithuanian production, with the remaining third used to purchase drones and equipment from Ukraine. Early on, Ukrainian-made drones dominated due to faster supply chains, but Lithuanian manufacturers are now showing promising results.

The distribution of aid is overseen by trusted partners — the organisation “Blue / Yellow”, which not only selects the equipment but also manages its delivery process. Laura Paukštė, head of “Blue / Yellow”, emphasised the importance of ensuring the equipment reaches Ukrainian soldiers who risk their lives daily.

“This is not just about logistics or numbers — it’s real help for people on the frontline. We are proud to be part of this support alongside the wider public’s backing.

At the same time, we work closely with Lithuanian manufacturers — drone production takes several months, with paperwork and licensing taking even longer. But we are on a clear path, and the results are visible,” she said.

The third “Radarom!” campaign ran from 3 to 24 February and was organised by LRT together with “Blue / Yellow”, “Laisvės TV”, and “Stiprūs kartu”. During the campaign, Lithuanian residents and companies donated a total of €5,737,028.
