Lithuanian energy minister forecasts fuel prices could ease by autumn
07 April 2026 18:10
Lithuanian Energy Minister Žygimantas Vaičiūnas said that the global fuel market could begin stabilizing by autumn 2026 if the ongoing conflict in the Middle East is resolved.
Speaking during a session in the Seimas, Vaičiūnas highlighted the role of key developments in the region, LRT reports.
“As noted by both the International Energy Agency and other experts, if the market situation stabilizes in the near future—I mean the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and resolution of other related issues—the market should return to its previous state around October or November of this year,” he said.
