Lithuanian president visits Kyiv on occasion of Ukrainian Statehood Day PHOTO

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda has arrived in Kyiv on the occasion of the Day of Ukrainian Statehood.

“Just arrived in Kyiv. On this special day, when Ukraine celebrates Statehood Day for the first time, I will address the Ukrainian people in the Verkhovna Rada,” Caliber.Az quotes Nauseda as saying on Twitter on July 28.

Nausėda also said that he would meet with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and grant him the highest state award in Lithuania - the Order of Vitovt the Great.

Just arrived in Kyiv. On this special day, as Ukraine celebrates the Day of Statehood for the first time, will address Ukrainian people at the Verkhovna Rada.
