The ceremonial military parade in Baku, held on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the 44-day Patriotic War Victory, has concluded.

The parade was attended by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, the First Lady, Mehriban Aliyeva, the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

The arsenal of the Azerbaijani army has been replenished with new military equipment.

This includes the Vaşaq special operations vehicles, Kobra-2 armoured medical evacuation vehicles, the domestically produced Viking mobile air defence system, the Kayra surface naval kamikaze drone, Hero-120 loitering munitions, and SkyStriker Block 4 unmanned combat aerial vehicles.

This equipment was showcased for the first time at the military parade in Baku on November 8, dedicated to the fifth anniversary of Azerbaijan’s Victory in the Patriotic War.

On November 8, a military parade is taking place at Azadliq Square in Baku, dedicated to the fifth anniversary of Victory in the Patriotic War.

According to AZERTAC, the parade is attended by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, the First Lady, Mehriban Aliyeva, the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

The national anthems of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Pakistan were played. This was followed by a minute of silence in honour of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs.

Minister of Defence, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, reported to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev. The president is delivering a speech at the event.
