Trump emphasizes avoidance of wars, critiques White House limitations

President Donald Trump has reiterated his desire for the United States to avoid involvement in military conflicts, while stressing that the country would respond swiftly and decisively if such a scenario arose.

In an interview with Fox News, Trump highlighted that he has ended eight wars over the past nine months and expressed confidence that, if the US were to enter a conflict, it would achieve rapid victory, though he emphasized that he does not seek wars.

During the interview, the president also discussed a range of topics, including the government shutdown, his administration’s agreements with China, and foreign students in the United States. He noted that international students often pay more than twice as much as local students and framed the issue in economic terms. Trump underscored that, despite America’s vast population, he values maintaining positive relations with other countries whenever possible.

Transitioning to domestic matters, Trump addressed the limitations of the White House as a venue for major state events. He explained that the residence currently lacks adequate space to host high-ranking international leaders or large-scale gatherings, citing Chinese President Xi Jinping as an example. Following their meeting in South Korea in late October, Trump said he plans to visit Beijing in April 2026 and has invited Xi to Washington or Florida.

Earlier this year, the administration revealed Trump’s intention to renovate the White House. He plans to construct a ceremonial hall at the residence using personal funds and private donations, ultimately gifting the new facility to the nation to better accommodate high-level diplomatic events.
