Lithuanian security officers detain man flying drone in restricted zone

Lithuanian Public Security Service (VST) officers have detained a man for operating a drone in a restricted area, with the man saying he filmed interesting places in his spare time.

The incident occurred on August 15 in the Lithuanian city of Kupiškis, near a liquid energy products terminal, after the unauthorised drone flight was detected, Caliber.Az reports, citing Lithuanian media.

Officers detained the Lithuanian citizen at the scene. He said he filmed interesting places in his spare time.

Administrative proceedings have been launched over the incident.
