Donald Trump will become the 47th president of the United States and enter his second term as president, having previously held office from 2017 until 2021.

Donald and Melania Trump have met with Joe and Jill Biden at the White House ahead of his inauguration, Caliber.Az reports citing foreign media.

Trump's incoming administration indicates he will declare a "national emergency" at the US-Mexico border, along with a host of other executive actions.

Donald Trump was elected president on November 6, securing 49.9 per cent of the popular vote and receiving 312 electoral votes, well above the 270 votes required for victory.
