Lukashenko highlights peace, stability during Orthodox Christmas visit

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko visited the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God The Milk-Giver in Okolitsa, Minsk region, on Orthodox Christmas, where he lit a holiday candle and stressed the importance of peace and stability for the nation.

Alexander Lukashenko congratulated everyone on the holiday, emphasising that now more than ever, people understand the value of a peaceful sky above their heads, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Belarusian state news agency BELTA.

He stated that everything would be done independently, with their own efforts, and stressed that the most important thing is calm and peace.

Lukashenko added that work and responsibility remain priorities: “The tasks are clear. The goals are defined. If we want to live well, we must complete what we recently planned. We have everything people need to live and feed their families—provided they work. Without work, nothing will happen.”
