Lukashenko says Belarus ready to support Cuba “in every possible way”

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has said that Minsk is prepared to provide Cuba with all possible support within its available capacities.

The statement was made ahead of the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Astana during Lukashenko’s talks with Cuban Vice President Salvador Valdés Mesa, according to Belarusian media.

“We are well aware of what is happening around our friendly country. We are ready to do everything for Cuba that we are capable of and that the situation allows,” the Belarusian leader said.

He also emphasised that previously reached agreements will be implemented, and that Minsk is open to considering additional proposals from Havana.
