Lukashenko, Xi hail Belarus-China ties during Beijing meeting
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and Chinese President Xi Jinping reaffirmed the strength of bilateral relations during talks in Beijing, with both leaders praising the growth of cooperation between their countries.
Lukashenko said Belarus-China cooperation has developed in line with the vision the two countries established at the beginning of their strategic partnership, Caliber.Az reports via Belarusian media.
The Belarusian leader cited the Great Stone Industrial Park, a major industrial and logistics hub near Minsk that has attracted significant Chinese investment, as a key example of successful collaboration. He said the project reflects the long-term goals both countries had envisioned for their partnership.
Lukashenko also said Belarus is increasingly using Chinese technologies across various sectors of its economy and expressed satisfaction with their quality. He emphasised the importance of maintaining close coordination with Beijing on regional and international issues.
Xi described bilateral relations as being at a "historic high," saying China and Belarus remain "ironclad friends." He added that cooperation between the two countries has continued to deepen despite global geopolitical and economic challenges.
