Macron: Russia showing weakness with latest strikes on Ukraine
French President Emmanuel Macron has accused Russia of demonstrating weakness through its latest large-scale drone and missile attacks on Ukrainian cities, which he said targeted civilians and underscored Moscow’s escalating aggression.
In a post on X, Macron said the recent strikes highlighted what he described as “the full hypocrisy of Russia,” particularly as Moscow had recently sought to negotiate a fragile ceasefire, Caliber.

“By bombing civilian populations, Russia is demonstrating not so much its strength as its weakness: it lacks solutions in the military sphere and does not know how to end its war of conquest,” he stated.
Macron reaffirmed France’s support for Ukraine and its population, emphasising that Paris will continue efforts aimed at halting the fighting and securing a just and durable peace.
