Conducted by the sociological service Odoxa-Backbone, the poll shows that 61 per cent of respondents are in favor of Macron stepping down, marking a 7-point increase since September 2024, Caliber.Az reports citing French media.
In contrast, 38 per cent oppose his resignation, while 1 per cent of participants were uncertain.
The survey also highlights a growing discontent with Macron's leadership, with 62 per cent of those surveyed describing his presidency as authoritarian.
Furthermore, an overwhelming 86 per cent of respondents predict that François Bayrou will not remain in the role of prime minister beyond 2025, anticipating that Macron will need to appoint a new prime minister in the coming year.
