Maduro’s son delivers emotional message amid father’s detention VIDEO

The son of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has released an emotional message to his father, who is currently detained and facing legal proceedings.

The video and statements were reported by the TV channel Politika Strany.

“Papa, you have made all of us in the family strong. Here we are, fulfilling our duty until you return. The homeland is in good hands, Papa,” he said, emphasising his family’s loyalty to both Maduro and the country. 

The message came hours after Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, pleaded not guilty in a Manhattan federal court to U.S. charges of narco-terrorism conspiracy, cocaine importation, and weapons offences.

Guerra also expressed "unconditional support" for interim President Delcy Rodríguez, who was sworn in after Maduro's capture. He condemned the U.S. operation as a "kidnapping," setting a dangerous global precedent.
