Magnitude 5.6 earthquake strikes remote Alaska

A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck Alaska, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
The earthquake occurred at 04:50 UTC (08:50 GMT+4), with the epicentre located 54 kilometres from the town of Skwentna, according to seismologists. The earthquake struck at a depth of 5 kilometres.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
According to the U.S. Tsunami Warning Centre, there is no warning, advisory, watch or threat in place.
